Chocolate Milkshake Smoothie

Is it a chocolate milkshake or breakfast approved? It sure tastes like a big bowl of ice cream, but this Chocolate Milkshake Smoothie (or smoothie bowl) will fuel you for the day.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of almond milk (you can swap for your favorite type of milk)
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (I use Truvani)
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 scoop chocolate collagen (I use Vital Proteins)
- 1 tbsp hemp seeds
- ¼ cup frozen avocado (doesn’t need to be frozen but adds a great creamy texture)
- 1 cup frozen zucchini
- 1 cup frozen cauliflower
- ½ cup frozen sweet potato
- Optional: if you want a sweeter smoothie, you can add 1-2 dates, or ½ of a frozen banana.
Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients into a high powered blender (I love my Vitamix!) and blend until you achieve your desired consistency. I prefer a thick smoothie bowl that I can eat with a spoon, but you can add additional almond milk if you like to drink your smoothie with a straw instead. This is your smoothie, start the day the way you like to!
